Who publishes Licence Check SA and how the measurement is taken

This page explains who runs this site, what it measures, how the measurement is taken, why the hour is republished, how a correction reaches the desk, and how the site is funded.

Who publishes this site and what it measures

Licence Check SA is published by an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. The desk’s only subject is one measurement: the FSCA’s records of providers licensed for crypto-asset services, with the date this site read them. The desk reads the named public sources, records what they show, and republishes that record with the date and the hour it was read.

The sources are named under every table, with a link, so a reader can check the figure at its publisher. The desk does not add opinions, ratings, or recommendations to the rows. What a row records is what the source published, not a finding of ours. The desk’s work is limited to reading the source, recording the row, and republishing it with the hour it was read.

How the measurement is taken and why the hour is republished

The measurement is taken by opening the FSCA’s public register, reading the rows that list providers licensed for crypto-asset services, and copying the relevant fields into a table. The desk does this on a regular schedule and records the date and hour of each read. The hour is republished because a register can change between one reader’s visit and the next; the hour tells a reader which state of the register the table shows.

A reader who checks the source and sees a different row is seeing a later or earlier state, not necessarily an error. The date and hour do not make the table a live feed. They make the table a dated capture, and the desk keeps the capture so that a later correction can be compared with what was published.

Responsibility and how a correction reaches the desk

Responsibility for the measurement sits with the publication’s editorial desk, named the Licence Check SA research desk. No person is named as author, because the measurement is a desk procedure, not an individual opinion. The desk reads the sources, records the rows, and answers corrections. A correction reaches the desk by writing to the address on the contact page, which is editor@licencechecksa.pages.dev.

Corrections are the reason the address exists. If a figure is wrong, the desk corrects it and dates the correction. The desk cannot act on a message that does not reach it, and it cannot correct a figure it has not read. A reader who sees a mismatch should write with the row, the source, and the date shown on this site, and the desk will check the capture.

How the site is funded and the affiliate relationship

The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link, and is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. The commission does not change the measurement, and the desk does not receive a higher commission for any particular row or outcome. The affiliate relationship is stated on this page and on the terms page.

The broker’s own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and following the link leaves this site. The desk does not hold client money and does not process any transaction. Nothing on this site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer. The figures describe what the register shows, not what a reader should do.
